WE ARE THE LIGHT will celebrate MLK Day 2020 in song!

• Join in the choir on Tuesday nights and be part of an uplifting event featuring guest artist Ellen Rockne.
• Songs by Ellen and 15 other voices from the international community singing movement will keep your mood bright as the days continue to shorten.
• Open to all voices, drop-ins welcome, commitment to performance encouraged but not required.

The Free Range Singers teamed up with Conspiring Women (Doreen Conte, Lorraine Visher, Liz Merry, Cam Stoufer, Betsy Taloff and me, Laura Sandage) to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday in a community of voices. Performers sang their hearts out, shared stories, and spread flowers. $2,630 were raised to support STEAC. The UU Church of Davis was host and sponsor. On April 13, 14, & 15 group of local tree lovers gathered for a unique interactive performance/art installation in the Aspen greenbelt. All ages were in attendance at this event full of songs, stories, and gentle ritual to honor and learn from our community trees. The eight women performers carried on in all kinds of weather. The event was supported in part by the City of Davis Arts & Cultural Affairs Program.
